Hopper Patterns This post was last updated on January 15th, 2016 at 10:41 pmDaves hopper is a standard hopper everyone should have. It is a very realistic looking grasshopper pattern. I have caught a lot of very nice fish with this fly. The Rainy’s hopper is a western fisherman’s favorite. It is a good floater and is quite realistic, although it seems like it is always hard to see when it’s on the water. This Parachute hopper also works great as a green drake and a Hex pattern. Not the best floater, but it is worth having in your box. Joes hopper Trout fly. This is a good floating fairly realistic grasshopper pattern. This is a good hopper pattern to add to your summer flybox arsenal.
