The beautiful state of Oregon has plenty of different rivers for you to fish. Most of the larger rivers will also have a decent population of salmon and steelhead in the spring, fall and winter. Some of the wilderness areas here are breathtaking with cedars, fir trees and large ponderosa pines. Some of the best fishing rivers in the nation are located inside this state’s borders, ranging from desert rivers to high altitude streams.
I haven’t listed too many rivers here, just the most productive bodies of water. I’m careful about posting information on smaller less popular rivers. You can rest assured that driving in the mountains will lead you to plenty of small streams in Oregon that are filled with eager trout.
You can find USGS current stream flow Data here.
You can find the fishing regulations and season information at the Oregon Fish and Game website.
You should also consider visiting the excellent fly fishing site SippingMayflies.com since it’s filled with great information that’ll apply to your Oregon fishing adventures.
