Fishing For Big Cutthroat in Yellowstone Park

This post was last updated on July 16th, 2021 at 11:37 am

Here is a quick video with some fishing in Yellowstone park on the river near Yellowstone lake. These fish are all very picky and highly educated. I manage to hook and land a nice trout a long distance away. These are very tricky fish to catch because they are visible from the road and get casted at often. This is likely one of the most heavily fished areas within Yellowstone. Since I enjoy a challenge and my favorite type of fishing is dry flies on slow water for  big fish, this was right up my ally. I haven’t fished in this area for over 15 years and I was happy to see a lot of big fish available. I have been stuck in MI for the last year and I was happy to make it out west to get a little Western fishing in. I know it has been a while since I posted here or created a video. I’m going to try to stay more consistent and do a bit more fishing than I have in the past year or so.
