Road Trip Through Idaho and Oregon in Search of Trout

Before watching this, I feel the need to tell you that I don’t catch any fish in it. In this video I embark on a very fun journey through Idaho, Oregon and the Northernmost part of California. I drive a total of around 2500 miles looking for a river that was open to fishing and in good fishing condition. I never found one.. But I did have a ton of fun! I enjoyed seeing the varied landscapes of Oregon and made it all the way to the coast to see some giant redwoods.

After hitting the coast, I pick up a couple crab, take them back into the redwoods to cook them over a campfire. Even though no fishing takes place in this video, I do show a lot of the rivers that the great state of Oregon offers. I stopped to film over 10 rivers during this trip.

I understand that with even a little bit of research I could have found good fishing, but I do tend to look for any possible excuse to take long drives through nice areas. I assumed that I could just go driving and stumble across some great fishing. If I would have had a bit more time I would have went north and caught my own crab.

Personally I don’t think I would change a thing about this trip. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I appreciate you guys watching and be sure to subscribe! In the next video I promise I’ll hook some trout.
